Paterson Family History

It is been known throughout my mothers family that her great grandmother was called Agnes Paterson. I started researching Agnes about five years ago when i became interested in family history. It was the long hard search for Agnes that really kept me curious and intrigued, because nobody in our family had any information on what happened to her.

Agnes Paterson was born in Troon, Ayrshire in 1865. Her parents were Margaret Wilson and John Paterson. The first census i found Agnes on was the 1871 census along with her mother and father and siblings John Paterson, Margaret Paterson and Jessie Paterson. Here the family are living in Galston Par, Ayrshire.
